First image of the new season - every year I come back to the Crescent nebula. This time with the Sky90 and the Atik 490ex camera with the Astrodon 3nm Ha fiilter.

In the lower left quadrant we can just see the recently discovered Soap Bubble Planetary Nebula along with a large amount of background Milky Way hydrogen alpha fluff.

This object is part of the Sharpless Catalogue of HII regions

This image was autoguided using my homemade off axis guider with Lodestar.
