Whilst I in the region of CTB1 I decided to target Sh2-170. This is a small nebula, about 20 arc minutes in size , but surprisingly bright in hydrogen alpha. The Astrodon 3nm filter on the Skywatcher 200P telescope was used to capture 4 hours of data in 12x1200s subs.

This is a most peculiar looking nebula with some very curious contrast features. Alos known as LBN 577. Also contains the open cluster Stock 18.

Coma Corrector Astrodon 3nm Ha 12x1200s on 200 @ F5 f.l. 1000 with Artemis 285 camera
