Unusual look for this popular spring galaxy: m101 with the 3nm Hydrogen alpha filter on the Atik 490 with 2x binning. 10 exposures of 900s.

The Ha filter cuts out all the light from M101 except for the Ha light from the bright star forming regions in the spiral arms.
