Object name: IC1805 Heart Nebula
Apparent RA:  Apparent Dec:
Constellation: Cassiopeia

My first attempt at a tri colour narrowband image. Hydrogen alpha (ha) is green, Oxygen (OIII) is blue and Sulphur (SII) emission is red. This is taken using my ICX285 chipped camera with a 135mm M42 SLR lens and narrowband filters. I have used 6nm Ha and SII filters and a cheaper 8nm filter for the OIII - I can't afford a narrower OIII filter yet, much as I would like one! I am climbing a steep learning curve with the tri colour processing lark. It is easy to end up with a very green image due to the much stronger Ha signal, so that must be reduced to get a balanced image. I had some problems flattening the OIII data which has lead to a rather lumpy background. I'm sure I'll have another go at processing this image as my experience grows.
