Object name: CTB1
Apparent RA:  Apparent Dec:
Constellation: Cassiopeia

A very difficult region containing the CTB1 supernova remnant along with a number of small hydrogen alpha regions, some of which are listed in the Sharpless catalogue including Sh-165 and sh-166. The contrast between the stars and the bubble shaped remnant is very small - ideally this region needs better skies in conjunction with a 3nm filter instead of my wider 6nm filter. I've used data from two nights to complete this image, and discarded a number of brighter frames. Aggressive processing is required to highlight the bubble structure.
