Once more the 200mm SLR @ f3.5 combined with the Astrodon 6nm Ha filter and the Artemis 285 camera. I have combined 2x1200s exposures from saturday night plus 10x900s exposures from tonight to make this image of the IC410 and IC405 grouping.
To be honest I think the framing looks a bit squashed up, but I'm pleased at how much wispy stuff shows up between the main characters. I'm also amazed how dark the sky goes above the main part of the flaming star - it must be very dusty up there.
It is interesting to compare with my close up IC410 image that shows the famous tadpoles nicely.
Total integration time: 3h 10mins
Captured in ArtemisCapture, calibrated in ImagetoolsCa, DDP in maxim, thuggery in photoshop.
This image was autoguided using my 400mm focal length refractor and my black and white SC1 webcam.
