Weather station at Curdridge, SO30, UK
Archive: The weather station has been offline for years and we are no longer collecting or displaying live data.
The weather station at the Curdridge Observatory was a homemade project built around an Arduino microcontroller.
How it worked
- A Dallas 1-wire probe measured the outdoor temperature.
- A BMP085 sensor measured atmospheric pressure, with the readings adjusted to sea level.
- An Ethernet interface sent the Arduino's readings to the website.
- The readings were stored in a MySQL database and displayed as graphs using PHP and Google Charts. The charts included dome temperature, outdoor temperature and pressure.
