Search for ways to make money online

A fun hobby looking for money making ideas on search engines

An entertaining few hours is easily spent entering terms such as "make money fast" into a search engine. The hits you come up with a amazing! Hundred of people seem to be falling over themselves, desperate to tell you how you can make lots of fast cash online using the internet. Countless lurid pages full of marketing twaddle about how you can make $1000 a day doing nothing.

Nothing has really changed. Do you remember letters than came in your post box? The junk mail. The brightly coloured, important looking envelope telling you the "good news" that you have won $1,000,000 in our special prize draw? We all know these are largely nonsense. All of them contain some sting that will either part you with your time, or money, or, more usually, both.

The Internet is a fantastic medium for these "once in a lifetime offers". The same people who sent those tempting missives to your letterbox are the same ones (in spirit at least) as those creating the flashy make money fast websites. Except now they have a huge advantage. In the good old days, you seemly sent your junk mail to anybody and everybody, and hoped beyond hope that you landed on the doormat of some fool desperate for cash. These days they just create a website. The fools who are desperate for the cash then actively search those websites out! 99% of the job of foisting these scams on people is done for them! They already have good traffic, and dont have to rely on the luck of the draw inherent with traditional mailers.

How stupid are we?

As you will have figured by now, any brightly coloured website claiming to make you a millionaire whilst you sleep is taking 99.999% gold plated rubbish. It does not happen that easily.

If you think for a moment, why should it? People who have watertight online money making ideas are not stupid. They are not going to work themselves out of their skin trying to tell others how to work the same idea. It would be like Coke printing the secret recipe on the side of every tin of cola they sell!

No. All they are trying to do is operate their real money making scheme, which lies behind there colourful website. Their profit is based on fools visiting their websites, and buying their ebook (or whatever). Most of these people will not make any money. However, the website owner has got his $50 for the book, and now doesn't care anymore.

Tom's rule of websites: The usefulness and value of a website is inversely proportional to the number of fonts and colours used on the website. Maybe I should create my own search engine based on that principle? ;-)

Those money making websites

However, do spend some time looking at these make money online websites. They are wonderful creations! They all look the same! They are all competing with each other for the finite supply of people daft enough to buy their wares, and, as the marketplace evolves they all pinch each other's features, and Darwinian evolution dictates that they will all look the same. Of course, unlike the natural world, the environment of these money making websites changes very rapidly, as different market forces come into play, so these sites have to evolve very fast... and the best ones (which you are likely to find first) are all pretty much the same.

They all contain the testimonials from happy customers. They all contain a special time limited offer where you can get the goods cheaply if you apply today, and they all contain a money back guarantee if you don't like it.

So go on, have a poke about - it is quite educational!
